After weeks of speculation, Davante Adams is officially a member of the New York Jets.

Following a Week 6 loss on “Monday Night Football,” the Jets motioned to acquire Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders for a conditional draft pick, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Adams is now reunited with longtime Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers.

With the 2-4 Jets now bolstering their WR room in a major way, this trade could be looked at as a crucial point to signal a positive swing for the final 11 games of the season.

Adams’ status for Week 7 is not yet known. He missed each of the Raiders’ last three games with a lingering hamstring issue, though the absences may have been partly a precaution for an impending trade.

In the immediate aftermath of the trade, Adams has already arrived at the Jets’ facilities, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. Adams’ early arrival is a sign that he is trending toward playing in Week 7.

Adams took a red-eye flight to New Jersey late Monday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The trade will be finalized upon Adams receiving a physical. Following the physical, the Jets are “hopeful” Adams will debut in Week 7, per SNY’s Connor Hughes.

The Jets are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 20 when they face the Steelers on “Sunday Night Football.”
