Yankees could consider Marlins’ Jazz Chisholm Jr. as possible MLB trade deadline option

The Yankees have discussed Jazz Chisholm Jr., the Marlins’ talented outfielder-turned-infielder. The extent of the interest is unknown, but Chisholm likely would play mostly infield, a Yankees need.

The Mariners are another possible landing spot for Chisholm.

Luis Rengifo was suggested here as a Yankees fix, and though he subsequently went on the IL, he could return in a week.

The phone was “ringing off the hook” for the versatile Rengifo.
