Yankees-Guardians ALCS starts tonight. Dates and times for all 7 games
NEW YORK — The New York Yankees host Game 1 of the 2024 American League Championship Series tonight at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
The Yankees are taking on the Cleveland Guardians, who won Saturday afternoon’s AL Division Series Game 5 against the Detroit Tigers.
New York, the American League East division champions, advanced to the ALCS after defeating the Kansas City Royals in the ALDS.
The winner of the best-of-seven championship series will play either the New York Mets or Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.
Yankees ALCS roster
The Yankees added first baseman Anthony Rizzo back to the roster for the AL Championship Series, just over two weeks after he was hit by a pitch and fractured two fingers.
New York also added right-hander Marcus Stroman, and dropped first baseman Ben Rice along with outfielder Duke Ellis.
